Google Search Engine Secrets Revealed.

Below please find search engine secrets revealed by Google at the recent San Jose Search Engine Conference?

Google doesn't tell us exactly how they decide which website gets to be ranked #1 or even in the top 10 for any given keyword search. They don't tell us exactly how keywords and PageRank fit into their formula.

Yes, we all know almost how they do it, but we don't know exactly. It wouldn't help much if we did know because . . .

Google changes their formula all the time.

The general formula that Google uses to calculate PageRank is well known.

Their formula basically says that the PageRank of a page equals 0. 15 + 0.85 times (the sum of the PageRank of each incoming link divided by the number of outgoing links on that page.)

This means that every page starts off with at least a PR of 0.15 and ALL incoming links help, but that's not exactly all there is to it.

As I said above, this is the BASIC fromula. Google revealed recently at the San Jose Search Engine Conference that they tweak this formula a little bit all the time. Just how much and how often?

Google said they consider half-a-dozen changes each WEEK to their PageRank formula and they usually implement about half of those changes.

Google changes their PageRank formula a little bit three times a week. Rather than waste your time, spend your time producing a quality website with lots of pages of useful, high quality, on-topic content. Then spend quality time getting incoming links to your site. If you do these simple steps you will see your ranking and traffic go up significantly.
